I am asking in reference to another posters question. Most women don't want ANY body hair on a man. Why?

Don't get me wrong - I don't want Robin Williams hairy. But some chest hair can be sexy!

So what is up with this? What are the reasons for wanting hairless men? Just curious...

I agree.....I would not date an ape, but a little chest hair is very sexy. My guess is that it has something to do with how we view evolution...The more primitive a man is, the more body hair...or so seems the view commonly held.

I love my husband's hairy chest! Two of my ex boyfriends used to shave their chests and I HATED it. Not only is it prickly as hell and uncomfortable when you're intimate, but it looks childish.

Other than that, one key word to appearance is GROOMING. If you look like you take care of yourself (even to just a reasonable extent, it doesn't have to be over the top!) you can be very attractive. To me though, that's kinda universal.

I like men with chest hair and beards. I even like bald men. But I don't like the hermit-on-a-mountain look! lol

I think most women don't mind a little body hair as long as the man isn't so hairy that he looks like he's wearing an ape suit. It seems the young women now have become conditioned to seeing male wrestlers, musicians, and actors with no back or chest hair so they don't seem to notice that particular look is not natural. Most men do have some hair on their bodies, especially on their chests.
